The role of business sales consultants in the field of information technology is to bring more business to the company, also known as the service provider, from as many different clients as possible.
The job of the business sales consultant is to meet with your range of clients, whether they may be banking or insurance or financial. The are to meet with them across the globe and attempt to win projects over for them. This is then handed over to the service provider who then creates a solution to the client’s problems.
It is important that business consultants remain competitive so as to increase the amount of business that is coming towards them. This is because the competition is increasing day by day and losing out on business is not productive. Most information technology companies will have many qualified and well-equipped business sales consultants with the correct skills to win projects or assignments for the company with which they work for.
The business sales consultant’s main goal is to ensure that the company incurs low costs but still providing a better service to their client. Therefore taking up projects that are offshore is far more productive than taking up projects onsite, as projects such as these can become very costly. Another cost to think about is that there is more than one person working with each project. Keeping each person at the client’s location can bring a large cost. Therefore it is important to discuss this with the client beforehand discussing the costs that the company may have to incur and then drawing up a deadline for the submission of the project and the terms and conditions for the project or assignment also.
It is not sufficient enough for only one project from only one client to be won. Your business consultant has to work constantly. This means that they must provide new leads from each experience as there are many organisations that run on the work that is done from the business consultant.

If you are new to internet marketing, do not believe the lies of easy money. If you want to succeed at internet marketing you will need to learn the basics and be prepared to work at it. There is a lot to do if you want to succeed, but it is worth the effort.
You will need to:
Learn how to build a website, or know enough to make sure that your web designer builds an effective website for you.
Understand the basics of search engine optimization so that people can actually find your site, as well as letting the search engines “crawl” it. (search engine Crawls are VERY important)
Invest in an auto responder service and learn how to use it effectively. Automated email delivery is a must.
In order to succeed online, you need to learn the basics. Before you begin building a web presence, you need to do keyword research on your topic or niche. Then you need to research your target market and discover what they actually want and need. This is a very important step, don’t produce something and then try to find a target market, that is a recipe for failure.
As bad as this all sound…its not…you can find online information that will walk you thru the steps.
Dont think you need to learn it all at once…it will come together in time. Just take it one step at a time.
There are many different ways to get started with internet marketing and you will see thousands of offers that insist that you must have what they are offering to succeed. Ask yourself whether you really do need them or are simply a distraction. (and use those ads as examples of marketing ideas.)
If you are in a hurry to get started, you could use tools like Squidoo and Hubpages while you are getting your website ready. Squidoo and Hubpages both enable you to create simple focused web pages around a single topic. They are free and very easy to use.
You can easily add products to these pages and weave in affiliate links. It is an effective no cost way to get started with earning money online while you are learning. They are probably the simplest way to get started on online if you are a beginner.
Lets go over the steps again:
Focus
Do keyword research
Find your niche
Market research
Try your ideas on a free forum such as Hubpages/Squidoo
Learn basic internet marketing skills
Learn basic SEO skills
Build an effective web site
Anyone can make money at internet marketing as long as you understand the basic steps. Just remember that it is a job just like any other job…it takes work and focus. Money won’t show up just cause you are now “on the web”.

Consumers Turn to Money-Saving Web Sites
NewsUSA – As the economic recession continues, Americans look to pinch their pennies. And while a good pair of scissors and sales flyers can go a long way toward cutting expenses, many people are printing, rather than clipping, their coupons.
Here are some top Web sites that consumers are using to find deals on items ranging from prescription drugs to home furnishings:
BidRx.com. Here, the pharmacies bid for your business. This Web site allows registered users to access an auction, where they can view different pharmacies’ rates for prescription medications. If a user notices that a pharmacy in another state charges less than their local pharmacy, they can place a mail order to receive their medications at a lower cost. BidRx.com also lists similar drug options that fulfill the same function as their current medications, but at a lower price. When registering, enter M4E014 in the referral code box for immediate savings.
Bradsdeals.com. Basically a savings tracker, the Web site bradsdeals.com tells users when their favorite stores and companies offer sales, bargains and other promotions. Users can print out coupons or access codes that save them money online. Products range from groceries to electronics to clothing. The site updates daily.
Pricegrabber.com. If a user knows what item they want to buy, they can search for the item at www.pricegrabber.com. The Web site will show the price of the item as it is sold by different vendors, so users can quickly hone in on the best deal.
Bookfinder.com. Whether a user needs text books or a pleasure read, bookfinder.com will show what different vendors charge for the same used or new titles.
Mint.com. If an Internet user struggles to keep track of their online spending, they can create a free account at mint.com. Users enter financial information, including credit and debit cards, bank accounts and budget information. The Web site will then help users track and categorize their spending. Mint.com also alerts its users when they receive paychecks or when they exceed a preset budget.
